Designed as a private wellness retreat within a San Francisco backyard, this compact cedar sauna balances warmth, simplicity, and precision. Clad in Western Red Cedar and seating up to four people, the sauna integrates seamlessly with the surrounding deck and cold plunge to create a cohesive indoor–outdoor experience.

Inside, cedar walls and benches envelop the space in a calm, tactile atmosphere, while a glazed opening brings in filtered daylight and views to the garden. The project transforms a constrained site into a restorative escape.
